At Rise: Marlow and Forman stand on the deck of the half sunken river steamer; the Nessie . They contemplate the implications of what they need in order to set sail down the Congo towards the inner station of this ivory company. It is nearing midnight and it is on the outskirts of the African territory. Marlow: I slapped him on the back (slaps Forman on back) And shouted “We shall have rivets!” he Foreman: (scrambling to feet) scrambled to his feet exclaiming “No!
