Unformatted text preview: Homework: Rape Victim Blame The data set you will be using for this homework is available on the website (http://mypages.valdosta.edu/mwhatley/3600/RapeVictimBlame.zip). The data set is from an investigation examining whether dress of a rape victim influences responsibility. Participants read a scenario describing a woman who was raped and a color photo of the victim. The independent variable was dress, which had three levels: conservative, neutral, and suggestive. There were also two different women used in the photographs to enhance external validity. Analyze the data using a one-way analysis of variance using a probability level of .05 to evaluate the statistical tests and comparisons. The dependent variable is “reswoman” where higher values indicate greater responsibility for the attack assigned to the woman. The independent variables are “dress” and “picture” that must be analyzed separately. You will run the analyses and WRITE-UP the results in APA style, so check your APA manual.
