Project Contract Name: Unshaded boxes: student completes Shaded boxes: professor completes Description of Proposed Project: I will use PowerPoint , to produce a computer assisted instruction (CAI) lesson for counseling sessions for students who have experienced divorce. The content will come from multiple counseling resources including group-counseling workbooks, parenting resources, child development resources, discipline books, and from consultation with additional professional counselor(s). The content selected from these resources will be used to educate elementary school children in grades 3-5 on the reasons why parents divorce and to dispel any false beliefs the children may harbor. Oftentimes children believe they somehow caused their parents to divorce. This project will allow the student (with counselor assistance in some cases) to proceed through a story at his/her own rate and on certain slides the student will be asked questions concerning their beliefs. The student will then be asked to click on their answer and will then be taken to another slide that provides additional information concerning their answer or concern. If the student’s answer is based on false belief, the myth will be addressed. If the student’s answer is correct, it
