Welcome to ITED 8300. Technology Tools for Training and Education In one short summer term you will have the opportunity to Create your own learning contract, Teach yourself a new computer-based technology that you both, want to and need to learn, Build a stand-alone instructional lesson, Evaluate peer products, Obtain support for your instructional ideas through research , and Apply the ADDIE model of instructional design. Sound exhausting? It probably will be, but it can be fun and rewarding at the same time. The key is to choose projects that you want to do. Think of things your school needs or things that you’ve always wanted to know and never had the time to find out. Well, this is your chance. You will develop 2 contracts in the first week and a half of the semester. 1. The Project Contract: This contract is simple, straightforward, and states what you intend to do for our Instructional Design Project, which is 60% of your course grade. 2.
