NUTRITION 130 Spring 2008 Assignment # 1 Name: _________________________________ I.D. # ___________________ Record your Food Intake and Physical Activities for one week-day (Mon.-Fri.) and one weekend-day (Sat.-Sun.). (Use attached Tables) 1. For the food intake records (Tables 1 & 2*), enter the time of day the food was consumed, the amount of each food item consumed (Coffee, 1cup; Sugar, 1 teaspoon; Bagel, one; etc.), and the food group that the food item belongs to. 2. For the activities records (Tables 3 & 4*), record the time at which each activity started and the total number of minutes spent on that activity. Group all activities according to the level of intensity. Add the total time spent at each activity level then enter the totals at the bottom of the table. For example: In a 24 hour period (1440 minutes) you may have had 1.5 hours (90 min.) of activity which are considered heavy; 2 hours (120 min.) of moderate activity; 3.5 hours (210 min.) of light activities; 9 hours (540 min.) of very light, and 8 hours (480 min.) of sleep. Level of intensity Examples Very Light Sitting (eating, studying, writing, playing video games, watching TV), Driving Light Aerobics (light), Bicycling (5.5 mph), Bowling, Cleaning, Cooking,
