IST 195 – Student Guide for Laboratory Session 14 Getting a Summer Job or Internship Title of lab: Getting a Summer Job or Internship Learning goal: To be able to use Internet job search engines (specifically eRecruiting) to find job opportunities To complete the lab, please follow these steps: Part I: Finding a Summer Job or Internship at the Syracuse University eRecruiting site (Basic Lab) Step 1: Logging in 1. Open up a Web Browser 2. Enter the URL: http://erecruiting.experience.com/stu/pick_school 3. You will see the screen like below. 4. In the upper right hand corner, drag your mouse over “Login”. When a drop down appears, click on the link that says, “Find you school here”. 5. Select New York state and Syracuse University from the drop down menu and click next.

6. If you do not have an account, create one by entering the required information. 7. Check on “Yes – I accept the terms of service” and click on “Create Account” *At this stage, if an error occurs, just go back to previous screen and log into the website with your ID and Password which you just created.
