What is a Megapixel? One Mega pixel = 1 Million pixels Look at what PPI your camera is taking photos If it is 2304x1728 Multiply these to get the MP = 3.98MP Divide each # by 300 (or 200) to get print size (2304/300 = 7.68) (1728/300 = 5.76) We end up with a 5x7 photo at 300 DPI Drastically changes if printing at 200 DPI Print or Screen DPI vs. PPI How many Megapixels do you need? 3 MP = 5x7 print 8 MP = 8x10 Photo How do we figure this out?
