3II. ADULT LIFE1.MARRIAGE:Joseph married Dorothea Hugesson in March 1779. She was the daughter of W. W. Hugesson and settled down in London. He is believed to live their for his entire life. He had no children.2.ADULT EXPERIENCES2.1Newfoundland and Labrador: In 1766, when Joseph was 23 years old, he made his first scientific expedition to Newfoundland and Labrador with Phipps. The main idea behind this was the ability to be able to study natural history. His diary during this expedition has been discovered recently by Royal Geographical Society of Australia. He got back variety of plants and insects that he collected during this time.±²±Endeavour Voyage: Banks accompanied James Crook on a voyage by Endeavour which lasted for 3 years. Since it was one of the very fist voyages of discovery, he had to go through a lot of hardships. They covered Brazil, parts of South America, Tahiti, New Zealand,
