Under what circumstances can water-soluble vitamins be toxic? Cite several examples. 2. Describe how the body can synthesize active vitamin D with the help of sunlight. A proper diet is essential to staying healthy and when combined with exercise can be an integral part to maintaining a healthy weight for a person's body type. Proper diet does not mean eating less, it means eating healthy which means cutting things out of your diet that will not provide any nutritional value and is high in fat. One key to a good diet is getting the proper nutrition in the proper proportions. In this day and age of supplements one has to be careful not to take in excess supplements because in excess supplements can be toxic. It is common for people to supplement their diet with vitamin intake. Vitamins are separated into two categories: fat soluble and water soluble. Fat soluble vitamins (A,D,E and K) are essential nutrients
