Medical Technologist work in the area of pathology, and run tests that aid doctors in making diagnoses. The Department of Pathology consists of the following areas: Blood Bank, Chemistry, Serology, Hematology and Microbiology. This report identifies the importance of medical technologist, the job outlook, salary ranges as well as future growth. I am currently working in the field of medical technology, therefore all information that I researched already knew, therefore my opinion of Medical Technology did not change. In order to be eligible to work in the lab as a Medical Technologist one has to have a 4 year degree and a national certification.
