Shakespeare/ English 2148 Discussion Section 006 Fall 2011 Instructor : Alyson Pomerantz Email : [email protected] Discussion Section Meetings : F 10:40-11:30 at 129 Tureaud Hall Office Hours : Th 1-3 and by appointment (location: 54 Allen Hall) Discussion Section Goals: In our weekly discussions we will discuss and engage with the texts from lecture, often covering themes and textual analysis that are not covered in the main course lectures. Through conversation, writing prompts and class activities we will attempt to arrive at a deeper understanding of the lecture material and practice the art of reading and interpreting texts. We will also discuss any questions you may have regarding Dr. Hamm’s lectures and the texts themselves. Participation : This discussion section is a chance for you to practice analyzing the texts and writing, which will in turn help you with your work for the course and to sharpen your close reading skills. This discussion section will only benefit you if you participate, so I ask that you please read the required material before coming to class, come to class, and participate in class.
