QMS 3311 – Spring 2010 Case Study 1 (The Motion Picture Industry) Please refer to Case Problem 2 on page 151 in textbook: case problem The Motion Picture Industry. Case study 1 is due in Tuesday, February 16 at 6:00pm. Case Study 1 should be submitted using the assignment link on the course homepage labeled “Case Study 1”. Late case studies (those received after 6:00pm on the due date) will not be accepted. This case provides you with the opportunity to use tabular and graphical presentations to analyze data from the motion picture industry. Developing and interpreting frequency distributions, percent frequency distributions and scatter diagrams are emphasized. The interpretations and insights can be quite varied. Based on your analysis of the data, write a managerial report addressing the three questions related to the case. Make sure to support your answer to Question 3 using Scatter Diagrams in order to show the relationship between total gross sales and each of the other variables. Case studies must be typed using 12-point Times New Roman font with 1-inch margins all around. No
