Heather Birk Dropbox 2 Question 1: Based on the statistic that IT managers spend 30% of their time searching for information relevant to the job, it seems like a role that one would expect to be very advanced with software tools but it sounds very disorganized. With 42% feeling they get too much information it helps support the aforementioned statistic about the struggle to search for the exact information needed. I would imagine the 30% will only increase as more information gets transmitted. Forty four percent state that departments do not share data. Many departments tend to silo data as “knowledge is power” and they do not see the big picture. If they share information it will benefit the entire company. My marketing department recently had the same issue as the next statistic, without being able to know which information is most current. I spent a day and found open source digital asset management that took care of our needs as we only post what is current and can replace files when we update them. This shows that this statistic (39% are not aware of what is current) could decrease if people could find the right tools to help them. It would
