1 Final Exam Information PHY 158 Fall 2011 : Exam Rooms: Sections 1-4: Knox 104 Sections 5-6 NSC 216 Sections 7-14: Knox 20 Please come to the room for the section that you are officially enrolled in (even if you switched labs during the semester). Exam Date/Time: Monday 12/19/11, 11:45 – 2:45 PM Exam Format: The final exam contains four problems. One problem involves data analysis. Data from one of the experiments will be given to you. You will be instructed to plot the data on graph paper we provide, and to determine relevant physical parameters from slopes, intercepts etc. The other three problems will be shorter and ask questions on various aspects of the experiments. In terms of difficulty the shorter questions are similar to those in the lab manual and the mid-term exam. This is a comprehensive final exam, and all experiments may be tested. Items you will need during the exam: - Two pens or pencils - A calculator - A ruler - A protractor - A standard 8.5X11'' sheet of paper. On it you should write down the equations that were used in the experiments during the semester. You may use both sides of the
