( 3 pts each ) Identify the following logical fallacies: a) A student studied hard for an exam. On the day of the test, he wore a particular baseball cap. He made a high grade on the test. Subsequently, he believed the cap was "lucky" and vowed to wear it to all future exams. ________________________________ b) A student wanted good seats to a concert. The tickets were scheduled to go on sale on a Saturday morning, at 9 am. She decided to arrive at midnight and "camp out" so that she could have first choice. Unfortunately, many other people had the same idea. She spent nine hours waiting but only ended up with average seats. _______________________________ c) If we allow Economics Majors at Old State U to take Personal Finance as a career track course, the next thing you know, we'll have to let them take Bowling or Ball Room Dancing as a career course. _____________________________________ d) Either we support all our government's policies all the time or we allow anarchy to reign.
