TI-83/4:LISTS AND SCATTER PLOTS If we have input/output data but do not have a formula, we can enter the data using the LIST feature The list screen is accessed from the stat menu. Press stat enter. Individual entries may be now put into however many of the lists are necessary to use. These numbers do not have to be tied to a specific formula, although a formula may be used if desired to generate the lists. To input values into an individual list, simply enter the values, using the left or right cursor arrows to navigate between different lists. Once entries are placed in corresponding lists, the TI-83/4 can then be used to draw scatter plots or compute statistical analyses of the entries. Entries may also be placed into lists from the home screen, by pressing 2nd n to access L n . ex: 25 56 87 89 104 125 130 3 , , , , , , ° ± L would generate L 3 in the box below. If the use of a formula is desired, entries must first be placed in one list, then a formula using that list name as the input is then entered, using parentheses, as the definition of a different list.
