Auburn University Information Assurance Laboratory 4 www.eng.auburn.edu/users/hamilton/security/ NSA Application and Certification NSA CAE requires external certification in ten areas including: Curriculum Externally Funded Research Faculty University Practices Received Curriculum Awards April 2003 Result of Certification Area 1 evaluation (next slide) University-Wide Designation as NSA CAE announced June 3 rd , 2003 Certification valid for three years Re-evaluation and re-certification in 2006 A total of forty-six non-DOD universities have been designated as NSA CAEs
