Bios 735: Statistical Computing Homework 2 due: Tuesday, October 11, 2011 As discussed in class, R is a useful tool for analysis. However, we need to be careful to ensure that our analyses are fully reproducible. A key tool in the movement towards reproducible research is Sweave. To this end, please use Sweave to prepare your solution to this homework. The Sweave document should be able to run in R and should yield a L A T E Xfile that is ready to be compiled. You are welcome to discuss solutions to the problems amongst yourselves, but you should create the Sweave documents on your own. Question Breast cancer is one of the leading cause of cancer death among women. Numerous risk factors have been identified to be associated with breast cancer including age, race and hormonal status. A well-known genetic risk factor for breast cancer is the mutation status of BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes.
