Unformatted text preview: Matt Deis Professor Pakanati POSC 311-010 18 November 2011 The Heart of “Home” An easy way to make a statement about the current parasitic relationship between human beings and the Earth would be to say something along the lines of, “There is no way to ignore the drastically powerful effects of human over-exploitation of natural resources.” The second portion of that statement concerning human exploitation of natural resources is an absolute fact proven by the information contained within the film “Home”. Yet, the continued actions of the human population at large disprove the first portion of that statement which claims the negative influences of human inhabitance on Earth cannot be ignored. As a whole, developed countries have begun investigating and developing strategies purposed with finding new, more sustainable sources of energy while also attempting to curb the extraction of natural resources.
