Types of Surveys Descriptive: used to examine what proportion  has a certain opinion, characteristic, or behavior  of interest No attempt made to determine relevant variables  and how they relate to the behavior of interest End product is the description of an opinion/trait  of a sample that they believe is representative of  the population from which the sample originated
