I think. You cannot doubt your doubt out of existence. Doubting cannot be doubted by doubt (it cannot doubt itself). I doubt - I think. This meaning that doubt is a species of thinking. Meditation One: - problem of error - intimate setting, intimate voice - self-reFection -> looking inwards rather than outward - project of hyperbolic doubt - radical senses: vertigo Meditation Two: - cogito - I think -- as Archimedean point (even in the act of doubting I cannot doubt I am thinking - the pivot on which he levers himself back into reality ) - mind as res cogitans: a thinking substance - mind has no material existence - because even if you look at yourself, you can say your mind exists because you are thinking, but it does not have material substance. If you look at your body you cannot say there is one there, you can only say that your mind is entertaining this fact....
