For quite some time I kept strolling around my military base. 5.15 am I went to the toilet to get fresh. And after that I cooked breakfast for the entire team and my assistant served it. I had my breakfast along with others. 7 am I got ready and went for my daily meeting where I was told about the mission of the day which was to meet elderly residents of the nearby village Kirkuk and find out about enemy activities. 9 am I set out on my mission with two of my fellow soldiers. The villagers were very hospitable and informed us about a group of middle-aged village men who regularly buy illegal weapons for using it against the U.S army. 9.30 am The village elders took us for a tour around the village. The dilapidated condition of the village houses and the unhygienic water supply system came as a rude shock to us. The villagers told us how most of the houses dont have electricity and young children work on crop fields...
