provided in Table 1. Children were classiFed by their homeroom teacher and
by their school psychologist as to whether they have a learning disability. A
primary goal of this study was to determine if, in the population, the proportion
of students classiFed as having a learning disability diﬀered between homeroom
teachers and school psychologists.
(a) A test for a diﬀerence in the proportion of learning disabled children com
paring teachers to psychologists was conducted using Pearson’s chisquare
