COURSE OVERVIEW CHL 5407H: Categorical Data Analysis for Epidemiologic Studies Time: Tuesday, 1:00-3:00 p.m. Place: Fitzgerald Building, 150 College Street, Room 139 Course Assessment Percentage of Final Grade Assignment 10% Midterm Exam 25% Data Analysis Project 25% Final Exam 40% Total 100% Students handing in assignments after the speci±ed due date will be penalized by subtraction of 0.50% o² their ±nal course grade for each day they are late. Letter grades for the course will be assigned based on the scheme used by the School of Graduate Studies (http://www.sgs.utoronto.ca/SGSCalendar/2001-2002/genreg8.asp). Students are encouraged to work in groups of up to 3 or 4 students to complete the data analysis project. Only one project should be submitted by each group. Students may work independently if they prefer to do so. Course Material The two textbooks for this course are Agresti A. An Introduction to Categorical Data Analysis. New York: John Wiley and Sons, 1996.
