A will can do things intestacy laws cannot such as: * Appoint personal representative * Appoint guardians and conservators for minor children * Provide specifically for your unique situation Three Purpose of Wills: 1) Provide for disposition of property at death (especially important if different from intestacy laws). 2) Keep a separate updated list of tangible personal property dispositions in some states. 3) Revoke or change an earlier will.
