Unformatted text preview: rejected or hurt by the time they reach kinder garden, and it is not a feeling we enjoy. By the end of high school many of us are already not wanting to get into a relationship with someone because of what had happened to them in the past with their boyfriend or girlfriend, or because all of their friends treated them badly. I think this is the biggest risk we take because we like feeling happy and content rather than unhappy, upset, or despondent. Nobody enjoys being hurt or rejected and many of us get past it and move on, while others sit back and watch their friends and family fall in love and meet new people because they are too afraid of the hurt getting to them again....
