Flexibility Lab Report 1 Heather Hopkins Kines 3502 Section 5 September 25, 2011 Flexibility Lab Report The advantages with using these flexibility tests are that they will give you the range in which your flexibility is in. The tests are simple and cheap. They can be used almost anywhere and anyone can complete them. With the advantages always come disadvantages. Some of the disadvantages is you have to complete the test correctly; if the test is not correctly given then the results will be incorrect. The tests are simple, but measuring incorrectly happens often. The flexibility tests will give results, but they may not be as accurate as maybe a machine would give. All of the flexibility test are similar is some ways because they all are going to state how flexible you are. They will give you are range in which you will be to find out how flexible you really are. The difference between all the flexibility tests is that they measure flexibility on different parts of the body. My scoring for the lumbar flexion test was a +2 inches and the normal is a +4 inches. I got 2 inches less than the average. This would indicate that my lumbar is not as flexible as most females. The lumbar extension score was -1 inch and the average for this test is +2 inches. This test points out that I am 3 inches below the average, so again that means that my lumbar is not as flexible as the average female. In the trunk forward flexion I was put in the range of good flexibility for females with 36 centimeters. The flexibility in my hamstrings, low back and hips are pretty average when it comes to females. The Sr. Lower body flexibility test puts me above the 50 percentile on females. This test, like the trunk forward flexion, also shows me my flexibility is my legs and back. In the last test, Sr. upper body flexibility, I was put above the 75 th
