Part II: 1: For more background on this problem see Exercise 1.1.20 in the text. We do an example of an economic model called the Leontief model. We work out an example of an economy with two sectors, A and B ( say automobiles and steel if you wish). The output of sector A will be called A and similarly for B. Assume that for every unit of A that is produce one uses . 05 units of A and one uses . 1 unit of B. Assume that to produce one unit of B, one uses .2 units of A and .04 unit of B. What is left over after the industrial use of A is available to the consumer. So If the total production of A is 1000 units, and 500 units of B are produced , then the amount left for
