London SeaceanatomyFebruary 21,2020the heart is a pump comprised of muscle tissue. Like all muscle, the heart needs a source ofenergy and oxygen to work. The heart's pumping activity is directed by an electrical conductionframework that facilitates the compression of the different chambers of the heart. An electricalstimulus is created by the sinus node (also called the sinoatrial hub, or SA hub). This is a littlemass of specific tissue specialized in the correct upper chamber (atria) of the heart. The sinusnode produces an electrical boost routinely, 60 to 100 times each moment under ordinaryconditions. The atria are then activated. The electrical boost goes down through the conductionpathways and makes the heart's ventricles contract and pump out blood. The 2 upper chambers ofthe heart (atria) are stimulated first and contract for a brief timeframe before the 2 lower officesof the heart (ventricles). The electrical drive goes from the sinus node to the atrioventricular node
