Features of Organizations • Organizations may fail to consider the total consequences of an action • We may be so rational that we only focus on what experts tell us • Experts tell us about our environment while primitive man knows about his own environment--we lose some things with rationalizations Bureaucracy • It is a rational form of organization • Uses the most efficient means to complete goals
