Jasmine Hill ACC 343 Ames 24 April 2011 Ethics Paper After learning about the KPMG case, reading various articles, and through working a winter internship at a Big Four accounting firm, I believe that I will encounter ethical decisions in my career almost daily. Not only in the accounting profession does it seem like there are many ethical dilemmas but in the business world in general. Some decisions may not be as influential or critical as other but I am almost certain that I will consistently be faced with ethical dilemmas. That being said, I also believe that ethical dilemmas do not by pass any specific level, from staff to partner. While in a staff level position one may not even notice the ethical decisions they are making but these decisions are not going to be as impactful of those that a manager or partner may make. Managers and partners also have more direct client contact where they may feel more pressure to make unethical decisions. Whether you know it or not, ethics pop up in the accounting environment daily. It is hard to be completely sure of the actions you will take when certain events arise. I
