Jasmine Hill FSW 365 3 October 2011 America’s War on Sex I got tweaked when… After reading America’s War on Sex by Klein, there were two main points that I could just not get off of my mind. One specific point being the topic presented on pharmacists being able to choose to deny patients prescriptions. Being a girl myself I have handfuls of friends who have resorted to the use of Plan B in certain situations. Granted some of the instances could have been prevented by more precautious measures, but I also know that there were various unfortunate incidences where my friends have had no other options. To imagine already being so distraught over the actions that may have happened the night before and then to walk into a pharmacy and be denied your choice of Plan B sounds horrendous. Even beyond that, what about the women who live in a rural community or do not have access to transportation to make it to another pharmacy? I understand that I may have a liberal view, but this extremely widened my eyes to the power that a pharmacist can have over one’s life. It was explained to me that this law was put in place to give a pharmacist the right to deny someone who they may be addicted to a
