April 2, 1830 Dear Journal, My work is really starting to prosper. I have expanded the blacksmith business in only one year. Unfortunately, Mr. Johnson passed away last Sunday. I was really hurt. He gave me the opportunity to work and provide for my family and I am forever thankful for that. He left me all of his blacksmith business because he had no family. Now I employ three blacksmiths all over the state of Georgia. The money is really good. Now I can afford to support more people when our family grows. My wife is nine months pregnant and I’m hoping for a boy. I can not imagine going back to the life that I was living two years ago. I have since repaid my neighbors. I also frequently help them if they need assistance with financial issues. In short, things are going pretty well in my life right now. When I was in town the other day I picked up a newspaper. The headline read: Jackson wants them out. I bought the paper from the man and I started reading it as I walked back to my blacksmith shop. It said that Andrew Jackson was trying to get the
