Forty-six percent of all families with affected workers rely solely on the earnings from those workers.” This is a drastic problem that calls for a drastic solution. A bill should be introduced to raise minimum wage so that those like single parents and college students are able to manage their expenses. The bill should raise minimum wage to $8 per hour. This will make life much eaisier for those who struggle day-to-day. The current average cost of living for a single income household is more than the average minimum wage earned by a full-time employee. The federal minimum wage is $5.85. If someone works forty hours per week, his/her average biweekly salary should be about $468. The
