Alice  The heroine and the dreamer of Wonderland; she is the principal character. Alice's Sister  She reads the book "without pictures or conversations." Alice's boredom with her  sister's book leads her to fall asleep and dream her adventures in Wonderland. White Rabbit  The first creature that Alice sees in Wonderland. He leads Alice down the hole to  Wonderland; he mistakes Alice for his servant, Mary Ann, and he orders her to fetch his gloves and  fan. He is the Court Herald for the Knave of Hearts' trial. Mouse  The first creature that Alice sees while she is floating in a pool of her own tears. The Mouse  offers to dry all of the creatures by telling them about "dry" history. He tells Alice his own sad tale,
