Lecture Activity #1 Summary Muddy Point: Didn't understand the whole developmental systems diagram… More examples of each theory and how theories overlap and relate . Difference between cognitive-development and cognitive theory? Difference between sociocultural and psychodynamic ? How can each theory be explained in a simpler way? Novel point: There is not just one factor that influences a child's development – principles form various theories uniquely explain child development. No one theory is the right one. Using the different celebrities and movies made me think how there are different perspectives in the media CD theories have evolved over time … research!
