1. Hypotension or low blood pressure is when your systolic blood pressure is below 90mm hg and you diastolic is below 60mm hg. Abnormally low blood pressure can cause dizziness and fainting and in severe cases low blood pressure can be life threatening. 2. Elevated blood pressure is when your blood pressure is slightly above normal and it can turn into hypertension if you do not change your lifestyle by exercising and eating a healthy diet. Elevated blood pressure does not have any symptoms but you should have your blood pressure taken regularly during your routine doctor visits. 3. Hypertension or high blood pressure is when your blood pressure is at or above 130/80 mm hg and stage 2 hypertension is when your blood pressure is at or above 140/90 mm hg. Symptoms of hypertension include headaches, shortness of breath, nosebleeds, dizziness, chest pain, vision changes, flushing, and blood in the urine.
