15 Experiment 2 Coupled Pendulum Apparatus: Two compound pendulums, coupling spring, convergent lens, filament bulb on stand, screen on stand, stop clock. Purpose of experiment: To study normal modes of oscillation of two coupled pendulums and to measure the normal mode frequencies. Basic Methodology: Two identical compound pendulums are coupled by means of spring .Normal mode oscillations are excited and their frequencies are measured. I.
