Neuro Lab 2 To Do Look at the dura covering the brain Locate the dorsal sagittal sinus and make a pair of shallow transverse cuts (about a cm or less deep) across the sinus about 5 or 6 mm apart and remove the dura between the cuts in order to view the sinus. The sinus is actually a canal through the thickened dura in the medial longitudinal fissure. Peal off a patch of dura on the dorsal surface of the cerebrum to expose the arachnoid. Note that the dura and arachnoid do not dip into the sulci of the cerebral surface.
