Psy092 Fall 09 Psych 092, Developmental Psychology-Fall 09 Christina Peter Class meets MW 9:15-10:40 Room: GE223 Email: christinarpeter@yahoo.com Developmental Psychology Description Psychology 92 focuses on human development across the lifespan. The biological, intellectual, emotional and social factors affecting human development and the interaction of these factors throughout the lifespan will be studied. The dynamic nature of biological, societal and cultural influences on individual development will be considered. Developmental tasks and potential developmental crises in contemporary multicultural society are identified for each age group. Text Required: Santrock, Essentials of Life-Span Development, 2008 Study In order to meet the leaning objectives and earn a passing grade, the average student is expected to spend 6 hours a week studying outside of class in an average length semester. Exams There will be 3 exams: two midterms and a final. The final is NOT comprehensive. Exams must be taken at the scheduled date and time. NO make-up exams can be scheduled except in the case of a severe emergency. In the event of an emergency, contact me via email immediately. You will need to provide documentation of the emergency and will take a different version of the exam than your classmates. You will
