Week 2 1. How market oriented is E-Bay? eBay is extremely market oriented because they know who they want to target, their current buyers and sellers and how to outreach to gather future business as well. They are so unique and well known in the industry that there is such a small chance that any of their competition will every advance enough to truly get ahead. a. How does their market orientation assist them in delivering superior customer value? E-bay is an online market place where consumers can buy just about any items they’re looking for, sell just the same. They provide superior customer service due to the fact that they know how to market and advertise the business as a whole. They pair up with many other well known companies and foundations to support their efforts as well. They provide buyers and sellers protection to ensure you’re covered when making any transaction. From my own personal experience if I’ve ever had any buyer or seller issues and needed to contact either eBay or Pay Pal (payment transactions) they’ve provided a live individual to speak with me and provide me answers to various questions. I’d much rather speak to a human over automated any day. b. What role does their business model, culture (business philosophy), and electronic community marketing strategies play in getting, keeping, and growing customers?
