Week 4 1.Compare and contrast how two of these companies – Google, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, JetBlue Airways and Target – create value for their customers? Many customers select to do business with companies due to the value of the product/ service, quality of service or the ease of completing the actual transaction. With some companies – it’s not worth the headache. I decided to select both Target and JetBlue Airways to take a closer look at. Target provides value for their customers by providing quality food and merchandise at a competitive rate. They back their customer value with quality customer service that I would rate between average and above average compared to their competition. Target understands the benefits of partnering with an online market space site like Amazon.com where the can redirect customers from the Target website to Amazon’s low rate pricing while still being recorded and rewarded for bringing that direct business to Amazon’s website. Customers are continuously looking for quality as well as a bargain. And what better way of doing it that working together to accomplish one main goal -> sales! The two Target websites I visited was www.target.com and www.redcard.target.com where they rewards loyal customers for using their Red Card. It’s a store rewards card as well as they offer customers a Target Credit Card where you get a 10% discount off your first order purchase. Target understands as well that contributing a portion of sales to local
