The Starbucks Company Story The story began back in 1971. In the beginning there was a store in Seattle’s Pike Place market where there was simply a roaster and a retailer of ground coffee, tea and whole beans. These days, they can now welcome millions of customers into their stores in over 16,000 locations in over 50 countries worldwide.
