Most students choose their intended major or area of study based on a passion or inspiration that’s developed over time – what passion or inspiration led you to choose this area of study?When I was in fourth grade, I attended a summer camp through U.C. Berkeley where I learned how to code in SCRATCH. I instantly fell in love with being able to create interactive games and projects. I vividly remember learning how to code gravity in games and being amazed at the ability I had to create a world that was so realistic on the screen. I continued to pursue this interest over the years, at first coding in SCRATCH and then advancing to Python and learning a more technical language to bring my more complicated ideas to life.I enjoyed my introduction to coding so much that I thought I wanted to become a programmer.
