(Patient is seated w/ neck exposed) Inspection  o Head o Face o Skull o Scalp Surface (touch the hair to move it out of the way) o Battle Sign o DeMusette’s Sign o Neck o Tracheal Position o Patient Swallowing (instruct patient to swallow) o Distended Arteries or Veins o Skin Color Variations o Range of Motion (instruct patient to look up @ ceiling, chin to chest, look over each  shoulder and touch each ear to shoulder) Palpation o Hair o Scalp That it’s freely moveable o Skull For Symmetry and Condition
