REVIEW SHEET FOR CRANIAL NERVES 1. For each Cranial Nerve, describe the evaluation process. Know from lab as well as lecture 2. Understand the peripheral vision eye chart. A lesion to the optic nerve, optic chiasm, optic Tract, optic radiations will lead to a loss of vision where and what is it called. 3. Know the pathway for the direct and indirect light reflexes including the nuclei and ganglia. 4. Where do the cranial nerves exit the brain? 5. Based on a scenario that will be given to you, determine the correct Cranial Nerve to evaluate. Be able to accurately describe the full evaluation process, not just the procedure that applies to the patient complaint. 6. Know the effect that lesions will have on the Cranial Nerves. 7. Based on the signs and symptoms given, be able to evaluate and determine the Cranial Nerve involved, the Integrating Center involved and the Syndrome that may be described. 8. Make sure that you are familiar with the superficial and visceral reflexes. Know the afferent, efferent, and integrating centers. 9. For the Autonomic Nervous system, make sure that you know what cord levels are
