Cabrera show details 3:41 PM (17 hours ago) Hello all, I've spent the past few days reading over drafts of some of your papers and wanted to share a few tips with all of you: Use section headers!! I can't stress this enough. Headers are there to guide the reader through your paper, as well as to give the reader a clue of what they are about to read. These are both very important to readers. Without headers your paper looks like 4 pages worth of paragraphs; with them it looks like a paper. Good writing is concise writing. If you can remove a paragraph, sentence, or word from your essay while still communicating the same idea(s) then cut those paragraphs, sentences, & words out of your paper. After you finish a draft be sure to go through it and CUT, CUT, CUT! Be careful in your word choices. Don't assume that the reader knows what you are thinking about. Be careful when writing something like: "What they argue is. .." Never leave it up to the reader to try to determine who "they" are. If there is anything vague or slightly unclear in your
