Unformatted text preview: Name: Aaron Averett Lab Partner: Taylor Addison Lab Topic: Enzyme Concentration Enzyme Lab Report Abstract: In this laboratory exercise, studies of enzyme catalase, which accelerates the breakdown of hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen. The purpose was to give us a better understanding how various factors influence the rate of enzyme catalyzed reactions and also gain an understanding of how to formulate testable hypotheses. We are to design and conduct experiments to test your hypotheses. By doing so, we gain experience presenting the results and conclusions of an experiment to other individuals. Enzyme Concentration was tested in our group. The data presented was the average of many different Biology 1208 classes. The results indicate that human calculation were the deciding factors in the data collection. Hypothesis: If there is an increase in enzyme concentration, an increase in reaction temperature, or an increase in buffer pH, then greater intensity in a given reaction will be...
