Stephen Harper Prelab the RC Circuit 1. The time constant, RC, is a value that gives the rate that the exponential curve will fall or rise, in this case, fall. 3. The time constant is a constant value that yields a rate of growth or decay. It is not an actual value of time, only a value for the rate. 5. An oscilloscope draws a graph of an electric signal.
