Also note that this review guide is not comprehensive of all the topics which may be tested on during the exam—still, thoroughly knowing the concepts referred to on this review guide will put you in pretty good shape for the exam. (You might want to create a chart when studying the sensory systems.) How do different aspects of the stimulus result in different perceptions? (e.g., wavelength, amplitude of wave, purity/complexity of the wave for the visual system? auditory system? touch/pain stimuli for touch/pain? ETC.) Describe the organs involved with the senses. How is the retina/ear/nose/tongue constructed? Where applicable, what functions do the different parts of a sense organ have (e.g., what is the function of the cochlea? pupil? ossicles? ETC.)
